Option 1: Teen Classroom Course certified by the Department of Safety
- Limited to 25 students per classroom to promote hand on learning environment
- 30 hours of classroom instruction with 4 days
- 3 two-hours behind the wheel with 1:1 instructions
- Test for your drivers license on your last hour of behind the wheel instruction if eligible
- Test for your permit on last day of classroom instruction
- Certificate will be given to the student who scores 80% and above on the permit test
- Certificate will be given to the student who passes their road test
- Accepted by all insurance companies that give drivers education discounts
- Certificate of completing the driver's education course
Once the student passes the permit or road test then the student would take the certificate to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The Department of Safety reserves the right to randomly select students to repeat the permit or road test. |
Option 2: Teen Home Video Course
The Home Video Course is a very convenient way to earn a Driver Education Certificate for the teenager with a busy schedule. It can be started
at any time and completed in 2 weeks. It consist of three private driving lessons with home pickup and a course you do at home in your spare
time. The home course consist of a 21-chapter textbook with accompanying videos and chapter test to be completed after every chapter.
On the first driving lesson the student receives the Home Video Course to take home, and on the third & final driving lesson, the student returns
the Home Video Course to the instructor and receives their certificate for completion of the program.
This course includes:
- At home program with textbook and videos
- 3 two-hours behind the wheel 1:1 instruction
- Accepted by most insurance companies, please check with your insurance company

**If you take the Home Video Course you must take the written and driving test at the Department of Motor Vehicle to test for your
permit or license. |
